Dave the Cat

I'm trying not to let the fact that no-one has read by blog upset me so I'll think of this as talking to myself. Which I do anyway, so after many years of boy world I have decided to show my true colours and go girly. I've started by buying and hanging a new pink notice board, see above not as I hoped alongside this entry. I'm going to a vintage Fair/Market( I wonder where the idea came from) on Saturday and I,m looking forward to it , not sure what to expect but going with an open mind and a open purse. Ops the photos aren't going where I want, but Dave is" the boss" and we mere mortals obey his orders. Top right is a photo of Dave and his slave AJ who calls him his" furry brother", it's so hard being a school boy on holiday. Yes he is a school boy just a very large one.

I am writing this with my empty clothes line outside the window, it was raining so heavily this morning I didn't put out any washing, but now of course it's fine,if a bit cool and windy. This appalling spring weather can be blamed on me, first back in September I took our electric blanket of the bed, stupid of course it turned cold, second I bought jandels on the weekend, the curse of the weather gods is on us. Ok. have put photo up, yes this blog is proving so stressful I,m not sure Tom's and mine mother/son relationship can survive the teaching me computer skills required. I have also got a picture of my Christmas quilt I have finished, it was lying in my UFO pile for 2 years but is finished. ok I see I'm still a lot to learn but at the top is my quilt on it's side, but your head on a angle and you'll see it better.

Haven't got the hang of this blogging thing, have spent the last hour with eldest son setting up, I admit I'm a Luddite. This is my blog to hopefully talk about the things I love, thrifting, quilting, baking, well cooking, all things vintage and crafts. There are bound to be problems as me and computers have a tense time and my tech savvy sons are not so helpful anymore, as Tom said how many times to I have to tell what to do. Well actually as long as it takes, which is in the forseeable forever if you get what I mean. So I hope to share my second hand finds, my quilts when they are finished you can see the unfinished ones anytime.
As we here go into spring I hope to be able to get out and about search for more goodies in the markets etc. While visiting a second hand/ junk/ vintage shop I picked up to flyers for a Vintage Market to be held in Woolston on Saturday the 31st of Oct. yeah Have told Chris (BF) and she has told someone else so hopefully I've done my best to advertise it, and there is a Fabric and crafty supplies market the next week on the Sunday the 8th, at the Scottish Society Hall. I shall attempt to take photos, whether I can post them depends if a kind boy is at home. Ha. So that's it, I have started and hopefully we can acrry on together that's if anyone is interested. Aunt B
